About Global Trading Outlook
Global Trading Outlook is a digital magazine for people who trade and the industry that serves them: stocks, crypto, futures and options, commodities, metals and FX, and the brokers, exchanges, liquidity providers, prop firms, technology companies and educators behind them.
What we publish
- Guides and analysis written by our editors on how each market and the industry work: regulation, execution, margin and financing, market hours, futures and options mechanics, prop-firm rules. Each guide lists its sources. Browse them by market.
- Contributor columns: pieces by traders, analysts and industry practitioners, either written for us or republished from their own newsletters with their permission. Contributors disclose their interests, and columns are unpaid in both directions. See our contributors and how to write for us.
- Republished public-domain works: speeches, research notes, statements and investor alerts from the Federal Reserve Board, the SEC, the CFTC, the US Treasury and the US Energy Information Administration, and chapters from classic trading books published before 1930. Each one names its author and original publisher, shows the date it first appeared and links to the original. We copy them word for word and say what we left out.
- Sponsored features: interview-led articles about firms and people in the industry, commissioned and paid for by the party featured. Every one is labelled Sponsored and says who paid for it.
How we are funded
Sponsored features and partnerships pay for the magazine. They never appear without a label, and the featured party checks them for accuracy but doesn’t control our guides or our choice of republished material.
The GTO Trading Awards are free to enter and are never for sale. Buying a feature has no effect on the awards.
Nothing we publish is investment advice. We are a publisher: we are not a broker or an adviser, and we don’t handle anyone’s money.
Standards and corrections
Brokers and platforms we feature confirm their regulatory status, and we may check it on the regulator’s own register. We don’t publish trading returns, win rates or profit claims, except in a sponsored feature that links to an independently verified public record supporting them and carries a past-performance warning. We never publish guarantees, and we remove any other claim we can’t verify. The details are in our editorial and disclosure policy.
If you find an error, email the editors. We correct factual errors promptly and note the correction at the end of the article.
