Guest columns
Write for Global Trading Outlook
We publish columns from people who do the work: traders and analysts in every market, and the people behind brokers, exchanges, prop firms and trading technology. If you have something useful to say to traders or the industry, apply below.
Who we're looking for
- Traders and analysts with real experience in stocks, crypto, futures and options, commodities, metals or FX
- Newsletter writers (Substack and others) who explain markets rather than sell signals
- Heads of dealing, risk, compliance and operations at regulated brokers, exchanges and liquidity providers
- Founders and senior staff at prop firms and trading-technology companies
- Economists, market-structure specialists and lawyers who work with the industry
- Educators with a verifiable track record of teaching, not selling
The rules
- Columns are unpaid in both directions: we don't pay contributors, and we never accept payment to run a column. Paid content is sold separately and always labelled Sponsored.
- No promotion: no product pitches, sign-up, referral or affiliate links, bonus offers, or return, win-rate or profit claims.
- No trade calls: analysis and explanation are welcome; buy or sell recommendations and price targets are not.
- You disclose your role, your firm and any interest in what you write about. We print it under the headline.
- Brokers and platforms must be licensed, and we check the licence on the regulator's own register.
- Our editors edit for accuracy, clarity and length, and you approve the final version before it goes live.
How it works
- Apply. Tell us who you are, where you work and the column you'd like to write. We check your role and, for regulated firms, the licence.
- Pitch. If we'd like to run it, we agree the angle and a length of 700 to 1,200 words.
- Write and edit. You send a draft; we edit it and send it back for your approval.
- Publish. It runs as a Guest Column with your byline, role, photo and disclosure, and you get the same share kit as every article.
Already writing a newsletter?
If you publish on Substack or elsewhere, you don't need to write anything new. Once a month, pick one post you've already published and we'll feature it:
- Your byline, photo and bio, and a contributor page listing everything you've written for us, with a Subscribe button to your newsletter.
- Clearly marked as first published in your newsletter, with a link to the original. Search engines are pointed to your original, so it keeps its ranking.
- You keep the copyright. There's no exclusivity and no fee either way, and you can stop at any time.
